All her life, Kira has trained to run. Her plan is simple: run her way to a college scholarship and get out of sleepy, small town Inola Woods.
But the spirits have other plans for her. One day, Kira stumbles upon a mystical force, one she's only heard of in Native American folklore. The next day, she is taken captive- and her newfound power quickly becomes a curse.
Without warning, Kira is thrust into the world of spirits, of Terra warriors who wield light and restless ghosts who threaten to upset the delicate balance between realms. She must rely on her teacher Ren to help her master her Terra power before it consumes her. Yet Ren, though cool and reserved, is on the brink of something deadly, and soon Kira becomes aware of how the others see him, as if awaiting his descent into madness. Can she trust him? Moreover, does she have a choice?
Reality shifts and Kira's plans and boundaries begin to crumble away. Trying to stay in control in the midst of the chaos, Kira questions her choices, her freedoms, the decisions that make up who she will become. As the truth about the spirit world becomes hazy, as the lines between enemy and friend converge, as the true purpose behind their power grows ominous, Kira realizes that she must change. All her life she has trained to run. But she can't run from this.

The Legend of the Firewalker, Book #1

72 parts Complete

Teenagers with supernatural powers. A college town deep in folklore, murder and mystery. A vengeful secret order. And fallen angels with dark and powerful forces that will stop at nothing to find the one they seek... Back of the Book A black hooded figure suddenly appeared behind her. She gasped and her brown eyes grew wide. Nathan watched helplessly as a small trickle of blood fell from her mouth. Other hooded figures appeared; their silver swords clutched upright against their chests. Nathan held tight to her lifeless body while trying to fight back the tears that swelled in his eyes. "No," he cried. "No!" Nineteen-year-old Nathan Urye is supposed to be having a relaxing summer as a camp counselor but ever since he started having nightmares about a beautiful girl being hunted by flesh-clawing monsters, his life has been anything but normal. Soon, Nathan discovers that the sleepy college town of Cahokia Falls is far from ordinary when two unexplained deaths rock the town and campus. Who or what is behind the murders? Does it have anything to do with the newly-discovered cave symbol? And what about the spine-chilling campfire stories about ancient tribal beliefs and mystical legends? For Nathan Urye, things just keep getting creepier and creepier, and now it appears that everyone at camp is in danger...
