Cameron Chevalier is just one kid who is trying to swim to prevent himself to drown. The need to prove himself is dire, the want to satisfy himself is fading.
Being apart of the drug game in the little town of Cresthill on Australia's East Coast is the only living he has, until he meets a boy who's desperate to break him out before he turns down the wrong road. But Cameron, who later comes to terms with the fact that his mental state is deteriorating, is convinced its too late.
He lives with little rules, no morals, and a mother with many regrets - her son being one.
