Note: this is a fanmade story that takes place during the events of the first Dark Artifices book, Lady Midnight, and contains many references to events in The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices. My OC Angel (using the name Rayne in this series) is the primary antagonist of the story. This story takes also inspiration from several other fan stories, such as Muffins by Reitanna Seishin. Jace has no clue she's been taken and she is pushed to the breaking point with Sebastian, his new rune and his intentions. Along with the intentions of the dead acquaintance, she struggles to survive and retain her sanity as she is used for the purposes of evil to bring down the Clave.

The Mortal Instruments but set in middle school. Some details will be changed because of their age and some because I'm going to try and rewrite the book(s) from memory. I used to love this series so much, but I haven't read City of Bones since maybe tenth grade, and I'm not going to look up any information so it's more interesting. It's going to be very clear which parts I've forgotten, and I hope it's funny because it will be for me. Test your shadowhunter knowledge.

*takes place after City of Heavenly Fire* When Jace decides to play hard to get, will Clary play along? How far will they go to drive each other mad?? Bit OOC.
