It was a bad night that night; nothing I could put into words, which is why I didn't tell anyone about anything. I should have been out partying, instead I was laying in bed. Being depressed wasn't an unknown feeling for me, but I hated feeling this way; such a dark feeling. I head my phone beep out loud, letting me know I had a message to read. I felt like ignoring it but I didn't. 'MeetMe' was a dating application I had downloaded alone at a party; stupid dares, a dating application I would lose my head if caught using. The message was from a very good looking man, his name was Brandon and the message read, "Hey Beautiful". I replied with a simple "Hello" and went to sleep; after all it was five in the morning.

It all started when he accepted my friend request on Facebook. I couldn't believe that he actually accepted my friend request. I was so happy. I don't know why I was so attracted to him... I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. It was the worst pain imaginable; and as the hands that were around my neck were forcibly ripped off by some unknown force, I slipped deeper into the depths of the river. My hair was straight above me along with my arms. My eyes were open and the water burned. A darkness started to pull me under, taking the pain away.
