You couldn't have been so naiive as to think that hiding him away would protect him."

"He was the best Crusader. He saved everyone-"

"He is a killer, a monster, a machine. Don't try to defend him. They all must be terminated."

"So you're expecting I'd tell you where he is?" Hale concluded.

"He and the others, yes."

"And you're just going to kill them with no second thought?"

The other man nodded.

Hale scoffed. "It's people like you who make me wonder whether the human race was really worth saving."
