Alfred Jones lives in New York City, during possibly the most thrilling ages the metropolis has ever known: the Roaring Twenties. However, unlike the thousands of young Americans chasing the American Dream, he IS the American Dream. Enjoying the ride that is this raucous decade, he just takes it day by day; that is, until a certain someone enters his life, and sends it all spiraling gloriously, thrillingly, dangerously out of control.
By all means, I'm just screwing around here, might not even go further with it. Depends on whether it's any good. Let me know what you think!

No Ships! i do be cringing at this very hard but I'll keep it up for y'all. note that the quality is very questionable and like most people i've reflected on the cringiness <3 The Ancients saw many of their children and grandchildren suffering alone, no one noticing the other's pain. The fake mask, the 'happy' countries wore. The secrets they all hid. The Ancients couldn't let this just happen, they came up with a plan. America was the unfortunate victim and test subject. America is the happy, joyful, always smiling, and loud country, but what if everything they know about him is a lie? A mask no one could see through. The mask no one tried to look through. There was a lot they didn't know about him. A lot he hid from them. A lot he kept inside his cracking heart. Secrets will be spilled, and skeletons will come out of the closet. Feelings kept inside for so long, will come out. The sides of America they never knew of will come out today. The mask will come off today. The mask that's been worn for so long. Will he be saved? What happened to America? Who is America really? How many lies have been told? How many hearts will be broken? Did they ever know America at all? How many friendships will be built, and how many destroyed? How long has America deceived them all? How will they see America now? Will America come out of this better or worse? {STORY DISCONTINUED and I'm probably never gonna finish it whoops} The world is ending, obviously. America never really paid attention to the news, only Good Morning America, of course, but when the flooding and crippling storms started in the south and worked their way to D.C., he got nervous. There were warnings, scientists predicted the amount of blah, blah, science, science, random crap, big words. . . World catastrophe. The Storm. Bunkers and shelters were built, supplies were stocked, factories and farmers worked around the clock before the Storm could hit them. One might think the United States was prepping for war, and in a way, they were. They had to fight for their lives. Alfred is alone in a bunker, panicking for his people and brothers and the rest of the countries like Japan and Germany. He hears a distant muffled sound above the howling winds, a frightened little boy sits in the corner with an old stuffed bunny sucking his thumb. No one notices him. How is America supposed to protect hundreds of people and himself against a storm that could kill people in a number of ways? And now a kid had moved him to become his caretaker. When Alfred became independent from England, France had muttered to him that he didn't know the pain of raising a child then losing it. But know, he assumes that he may just learn.
