On her seventeenth birthday, she goes with her parents to the Factory where she is assigned a historical era in which to spend the rest of her life. As she comes of age with one foot in the past and one in the present, Raven must make difficult decisions, question the trusted system her grandfather helped develop, and break laws for the sake of her own happiness.
