Pete is played off as Brendon's estranged cousin, but the townsfolk are wary of the newcomer despite Brendon's flawless reputation. The plan goes smoothly at first, but Pete almost dies of boredom as soon as he arrives, so it's only a matter of time before he becomes entranced by the only interesting form of entertainment: the town reverend's seventeen-year-old virgin son, Patrick. Unbeknownst to the boy himself, his own innocent, curious gaze becomes the one thing Pete just can't seem to wiggle out of.
