Werewolves. They do exist, and they live amongst us, without us knowing. But they're a tad different from the legends that we've heard. For example, each "important" wolves--meaning the alpha, or the soon-to-be alpha, and the beta (and the soon-to-be beta)--have their own weapon. They get this weapon on their tenth birthday. It's like a coming of age ceremony. Their weapon chooses them, and they protect the pact with their weapon. And alpha or a beta without a weapon is useless to the pack.
Unfortuantely, that's Elliot . The soon-to-be alpha with no weapon. The pack secretly shuns him, and his father seems to hate him. Eli doesn't have it easy. He has no idea why he has no weapon.
But one day, a human moves into live with Eli and his family...at the pack grounds. Why has his father allowed such a thing to pass? It makes no sense to Eli.
