After everything that happened, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off with Nova. I told myself I needed to check on her and make sure she was okay. I pushed open her door, and the sight of her almost stopped my heart. She was sitting on the floor, her back against the bed, eyes unfocused, her hand shaking as she brought another pill to her lips. My pulse quickened. "Nova?" My voice cracked, louder than I intended. She didn't respond at first, just continued, almost robotic, taking more. "Are you old enough to be here?" The 18-year-old asked, and Hailey laughed. "Yeah. Of course, look can we just have two light beers?" Hailey asked looking at the desserts. We walk over to a small booth and sit down. Hailey slides the beers over to me and I open one. I start to lift it and then set it back on the table. "Um... Hailey are we old enough for this?" she nods so I take a sip. It was disgusting but I felt like I should drink more so I drank the rest. Hailey had already gone to order more, and I stumbled towards her. A man grabbed me dragging me towards the back door and Hailey ran over trying to grab me. She screamed trying to get people to help but they were all distracted. The man stuck something in my arm and threw me in a van. He shut the door and Hailey ran inside to call the police.
