The Sisterhood- A place where women are born and where women are kept and where women die prematurely.
A place where women are taught to behave and taught to obey and (in most cases) are murdered if they do not.
It doesn't seem like too bad of a place. It's like an eternal boarding school that's a prison on the down-low. They call it a sanctuary, and technically, it kind of is. Or it could be an occult. Your choice.
Obviously, they don't let people know of their murders. And nobody else in Pennsylvania- or the world, for that matter- knows what it is.
Bec. Headstrong, with lots of motivation and a main goal. A perfect protagonist! Despite being quite the rebel, the Sisterhood never killed her for the thing's she's done wrong. It's like they're watching her with 700 eagle eyes, waiting for her next attack. Keeping her alive because they think she's... Interesting.
Tenna. Content. A bit paranoid, but overall didn't have as much issue with the Sisterhood. Bec's best friend. Not nearly as bold, but just as energetic.
Naturally, since they're the main characters and all, Bec and Tenna escape.
They end up in the big city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and find shelter, friendship, and comfort within two siblings (+ other pals) who offer to take them in, after some serious convincing.
No real action or adventure, just a lot of secondhand embarrassment and some Good Times™
