Especially in this generation. Growing up in a society where having a psychological condition means you're a freak, abnormal or an attention seeker. Where gender inequality is still seen as normal and right. Where anything other than Heterosexuality means you're possessed or the spawn of the devil. Where showing your emotions as a guy means you're soft and weak, because toxic masculinity isn't seen as a problem. Also, having anything to do that's related to these "atrocities" means you're set for an even bigger social stigma. Being a teenager becomes harder than hard. Just a group of teenagers trying to find a place for themselves in midst of a backward society, realising that life can't be all black and white. Daniel is your typical high school football player; he's got the looks, the muscles, talent, and even the overbearing dad who wants him to go pro. Daniel, however, really couldn't care less about a career in football, he loves the game, but it's his dad's dream for him to go pro, not his own. At least not anymore. He spends most of his free time away from his house and hanging out at either the Thomas or the Copperfield house. He can't wait to go off to college with his friends and get away from his dad and the stupid little town he grew up in. How will things change for them over the next year? This will be a series of 4, but the other books will be spin-offs and can be read as stand-alone books. They will, however, be published in chronological order. Full warning, this book is much shorter than I intend on making the spin-offs. I was planning on writing book two as the first in the series but found myself needing more of a prequel to all three other books, and so I chose to write something from their high school years.
