Lanora Lazarus lives on the planet Gillinger and they are fighting a constant war. The War of Darken Ages, a war in which no one truly knows how it started. It's the Ally vs. The Rebels. Half of the world against the other half.
Lanora knows that women do not have the same rights as men. She wants to fight in the war to not only get back at her father, but to get out of her lonely house. So what does she do? Dresses as a boy and pretends to her long lost brother Noah.
Jackson Smithsonian is the son of the most honorable military leader, and has a huge expectation to live up to. He now has to train all the new recruits and get them ready for war. Which is a lot harder than you would think. Suddenly he's getting mixed feelings about this Noah guy, not so good feelings.
Will Lanora be discovered? Will Jackson be able to train the new recruits, and crack the case behind Noah? Will the War of the Darken Ages ever end?

Add to that the fact that he is her roommates' childhood best friend and you can see drama from miles away. Noah claims to hate her ever since they met, and he doesn't mean her first day of college. He remembers her just fine from a couple of years ago and all the feelings are back. He knows she doesn't remember him and he'll use this as his leverage to do what he has to do. It's what he promised his father and himself, even if it means he has to pretend to care for her. All he cares is his family business.
