Willow Starling's life has never been easy. Living as a half human, half elf wouldn't be for anyone.  Even then she has to live up to her uncles legacy of being the Ice Mage. The elves hate her for being inferior, and the humans hate her for being different. The only way to be accepted by anyone is to take on the Ice Mage, and prove her worth. Except she isn't chosen. Devastation hits hard, until tragedy hits causing to become the new Ice Mage. Her problems aren't over yet though. A darkness rises in the North collecting on a six thousand year old debt. Will Willow be able to destroy it, or was all hope lost even before the journey began?
