Someone very close to me once told me happiness can be found in the darkest of places if one only remembers to turn on the light at the time i didn't understand what they mean by it but after the hell i have been through since. I understand what they meant by it or at least what it began to mean to me

Y/n L/n is starting her first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She meets many new friends, but there are 4 people she would call her best friends. Those 4 people are James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. The 5 of them were known as the Marauders. Together, they would go through a journey of romance, comedy, sadness and happiness. It does get better.
People say it will get better. But to be fair, most of them never were in your place. They say you will get happy again, but how can they know? I've struggled with trauma, mental illnesses, and self harm for many years. These are (mostly) poems - about me and my journey of getting better. ! As this is about self harm and other previously mentioned topics, it might be triggering. I don't glorify it in any way, though. I'm also not a native English speaker. If you find any mistakes, please tell me so I can improve.
