Many of you know of the sweet story of a younger girl locked in a tower with hair as pure as gold and as long as the eye can see, otherwise known as Rapunzel. A sweet maiden stuck in a tower with the hopes and dreams of leaving but the stroke of fear holding her back, and the impossibly tall tower that cages her in. Suddenly, in the midst of it all, our sweet, innocent Rapunzel is discovered by the dashing prince that sweeps her off her feet and after many distressing situations, rescues her from her cage of captivity and ride, together, off into the sunset with the promise of true love in sight.

But....

What if I told you that maybe, just maybe, the story didn't go quite exactly as you thought? What if Rapunzel didn't end up with the "dashing prince" and realized that love at first sight didn't exist? Well then, how does it go if not the way it was told? Sit down and get comfortable, because I'm about to tell you the true story of Rapunzel.

Marithyda Skyelorn has barely managed to escape Magus Opté with three of the four Magestones in her grasp, and the Empress's army encroaches. ***** Reeling from Sabin's betrayal and Rumiya's damning prophecy, Marithyda is determined to realize the full extent of her power and put a stop to the enslavement of her kind - no matter what it takes. However, the kingdom that Marithyda left behind has become all but unrecognizable in her absence. Marithyda and a grief-stricken Queen Taileen Winship must put their rivalry aside to save the land and the people that they love, learning that some forms of powerful magic are hidden for a reason.
