*Sequel to This New World We Live In* Love is what we were born with. Fear is what we learned here. ~Marianne Williamson Fear: An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. In this world, everything is a threat. Everything is dangerous. Pain is everywhere. Fear defines us. It can make us stronger, build us up, and allow us to decide our own fate. But fear can have fatal consequences. Fear can break us to the point where we're a pawn to the demons of our souls. It can be the difference between standing up and fighting and living, or cowering in the corner and succumbing to the challenge. We fear violence more than our own feelings, but personal, private, solitary pain is more terrifying than what anyone else can inflict. Katie Greene knows all about fear. It's taken over her life. She spends every second looking over her shoulder, being afraid of what is there, and what isn't. She's strong, but only to a certain point. She needs someone to help her get through this. Daryl Dixon is that person. He feels her pain. He spent his childhood afraid of the monster that was his father. But with age, Daryl has learned to swallow his fear, and face it head-on, so it makes him, not breaks him. At first, Daryl didn't realize this, but now he knows, he needs her too. When these two met, 186 days ago, they had no idea what their life would be like now. The man that once knew no fear, now suddenly has something to be frightened of, to worry about. The woman that spent her whole life afraid now has a reason to stay strong and fight. But she is not yet cured. There is a nagging in her mind telling her bad things are constantly going to happen, tormenting her and making her afraid. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Don't worry, don't fret, don't fear. But, always remember. No one is safe.

They say the world is over, but I'm still here. If it's the end of days then why are people still alive, maybe the world isn't over perhaps they just have to learn how to survive in this new world. For Lexi Grimes that is a lot easier said than done. Her father was shot a week before the dead began to rise. Now Lexi has to be strong for her little brother Carl and their mother, Lori. Lexi was the one that got her brother and mom packed and ready to leave. While her mom was grabbing family albums and her brother was grabbing comic books, Lexi grabbed her Springfield Sniper, extra ammo, and her silencer. As well as any food that would last a while. She was already pulling out of the driveway to go get her father when Shane came in behind them, driving like a bat out of hell. Shane told them that Rick was dead, and he came to get them to safety, but Lexi didn't want to believe him. Shane had to physically stop Lexi from getting back in their car and driving to the hospital. The only thing that truly stopped her though was the look on her little brother's face, he needed her now more than ever. They never made it to Atlanta though and now Lexi has to navigate a world where the dead walk. Season 1 (Complete) Season 2 (In progress)
