My heart pumped furiously, my body trembling. I took a shaky step back to look at the creature in front of me. There was no way it could have been alive. I watched cautiously as spider like thing crawled towards me. My head began to swirl, and my veins felt like they were going to explode. "You can't be alive. They killed you. You're species is gone" I shaked. It kept crawling towards me with the inhuman body. I knew it the poisonous river was behind me and if I took another step back, the creature would win again. I took a shaky breath in. I knew what the only thing to do was now. "I declare war." I yelled, my voice cracking at the end. I watched as the spider like thing, shrieked and crackle back to me. "War accepted." It hissed at me before crawling away. I sighed. I've done it. Now it's time to fight. Fight the Species. But there are only two other humans on earth, how am I supposed to do it? I went to lean down on a tree that I thought was behind me. My yell echoed in my ears as the green water splashed onto me. I gurgled under water before my heart stopped pumping along with my hands and feet. I tried and died. Like every other human.

"You are one who soared the skies, but what a pity darling... 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴"" _ I should have known it was a trap. The clues were right in front of me, yet I ignored them. He transcended them all. Now, I'm trapped. I've been running for two hours, yet this forest has no end. Hunger gnaws at me, my bleeding heel threatens collapse-but I can't afford to lose this last chance to escape. A tree looms ahead, wisteria and fireflies surrounding it. I stumble to it, sinking against the trunk. The mirror work on my lehenga catches the glow of the fireflies. It's Karwachauth-my first. A day to pray for a husband's long life, yet here I am, fleeing mine. "My little fairy finally stopped, hmm?" His voice, soft yet unreadable, halts my breath. Arms enclose me, pulling me into his chest. A kiss lands on my forehead. "You've played enough. Let's go home-you need to break your fast... and face the consequences of your actions." He lifts me effortlessly. I lost my very last chance.
