You know the legends of the "red strings of fate?" Everyone is connected to their soulmate by these invisible strings tied to their pinky finger.
Or are they completely invisible?
Ellie Parker could see these strings all her life, though she didn't know what they meant when she was younger. She had grown curious after she found no one else could see them. Feeling like she was going crazy, she decided to look up these strings, and realizing what they are she decided to help bring people together with her sight.
The only problem? She hasn't been able to find a string on herself, and her parents aren't connected to each other. Who are they supposed to be with? And why can't she find a string on herself?
