When Edgar catches feelings for the stereotypical white pothead, who wants to be a rapper, his relationship with an inconsiderate, cute, nerd begins to fall in the shit pit. Throw in the divorce of his parents who he thought were in love and you have one confused 17 year old boy. Emotionally torn and dealing with the hardest bout of depression he's ever dealt with he confides in a temporarily faceless 25 year old through a virtual game of cards against humanity. The government and almost everything that's based on technology is being corrupted and there's only one facility that can put a stop to it before everything goes up in flames. The group is called upon to assist in the process since they each have their own unique abilities to put to use.
