Born to a breeder and a former trainer, Alice Carter grew up with a lot of knowledge of Pokémon. Being the eldest of 4 children, she feels the most responsible. She would help her mother with breeding, her father with work in their garden, and eventually went on her own Pokémon journey at 11. However, she was only traveling with her Pokémon. Not many believe her, but she has an ability that make people shy away from her. This ability was understanding Pokémon, but she didn't care if people thought she was crazy. Eventually, she took a break from her journeys from other regions such as Kanto, Johto and Hoenn, and returned to the Sinnoh region to visit her family. But something inside her tells her she has to give up that life for a bit because a region she hasn't been to needs her help. At 17, she leaves behind her trainer past and starts anew in the region of Almia. There, she will learn how to be a Pokémon Ranger and will be sent to the region that needs her help. 
Which region needs her help, she doesn't know. 
But she knows in her heart that the one she's assigned to as a Ranger will be the right one.
