Almost a year has passed since the Penderwicks visited Point Mouette, and each sister has a daunting task ahead of them. Rosalind is entering grade 9, the final stage of junior high, not to mention that she's studying to earn her learner's licence. Skye is starting grade 8, and with it comes a mountain of emotions and responsibilities. Jane's prepping herself for her first year of junior high, and Batty is just beginning grade school.
However, there is a silver lining. Iantha has urgently been called to Boston, and she brings Skye, Jane and Batty with her to visit Jeffery. Rosalind stays home along with Mr. Penderwick and Ben, in order to study for her test and hopefully see Tommy. What will this summer bring for the Penderwick sisters?

Rhea Potter was terrible at making friends, loved to stargaze, and was forced to be James Potter's twin sister.
