Lindsey Shaw was never one of the popular girls and still isn't, but her and her three best friends Riley, Macy, and Ashley always have jam sessions in her parents garage or her deceased fathers garage. Being only seventeen in her junior year(and no she didn't get held back she just has a late birthday)being a discovered artist was not what was going through her mind when she got the guts to make a YouTube channel with her friends and preform at the schools talent show.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi I'm Lindsey and I guess the Author already told you the basics but let's dig deep into my life, I'm seventeen in my junior year, not popular I live with my mother because of my father passing away when I was six. And I bet she didn't tell you that Riley is my sister but she's a year younger and in her sophomore year.

I have dark brown hair and ocean blue eyes, I barely have a seance of fashion but hey I've got my own, I play guitar and write my own songs my crush is Mason Andrews he's a popular but not too popular but it'd never work out, but a girl can dream right?

My sister gets bullied witch has caused me to toughen up and step into the big sister roll so I have been suspended a couple of times, me and my sister and my best friends yet I call them my sisters, I've never gotten bullied due to what I did to my last bully earning the nickname 'Bad Girl' but hey gotta do what cha gotta do.

I'm very close to my friends, my mom but I'm closest to Riley over what we've been through together over the years, now I'm twenty three married and still singing.

But let's start at the beginning of me and my sisters band.

"And why is it you don't want to work with anyone in the band?" "I don't like anyone." I said simply. "And that is the point of doing this group activity. But now let me ask you two questions. One, Why do you put up with band if you don't like anyone? And Two, Why don't you like anyone else?" Ms. Emma asked me, leaning a bit forward in her seat meaning she expects an answer from me. "I put up with band because I love my grandma and she was always telling me to be a trumpet. She died about a year ago and I just want to honor her memory" I say looking down. "I'm so sorry Jace." Ms. Emma says, and I look up to see an emotion I hate. Empathy. I don't want her sympathy. So I changed the topic and answered the second question. "And I don't like the band because they all like her. The weirdo. She's always happy, always talking with everyone as if they are the most special person in the world, she's happy about playing more music than any of us needs to. She's so weird that it's like she's popular. She's not normal, not right. All I want to say is pair me up with anyone but her. I hate her, Ms. Emma." Ms. Emma just looks at me like I am the weird one. "And who, pray tell, is that Jace?" I was a little shocked she didn't know. Or maybe she did and she wanted to hear me say it. So I said her name just to make her happy. "Astrid." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jace Vaughn hates Astrid. All because she is weird. Or maybe he is jealous because of how "easy" her life seems to be. He's always getting bullied by his supposed loved ones, and his favorite person in the world left him unwillingly. When a band project and a few mean words make Jace and Astrid's fates intertwine, can Jace forget his hate and learn to be friends with a musically nerdy girl? and maybe, just maybe, can he learn to love again?

Top 1 out of 11.1k books under "unique" | 06-07-20 | "Making my way downtown, walking fast, faces pass and I'm home-bound", Julian starts singing and I hear Brian groan. "I may be drunk but I still hate this!", he shouts. "Staring blankly ahead, just making my way, making my way through the crowd", my brother continues, ignoring Brian's protests. "Na, na, na, na, na, na, na. And I need you", Julian sings again. "Na, na, na, na, na, na, na. And I miss you", my brother backs him up again. "Na, na, na, na, na, na, na. And now I wonder", they both sing. "If I could fall into the sky", I sing along just for fun. "Do you think time would pass me by", Cole does the same and smiles and he and I laugh when we see that Brian was covering his ears. "Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles if I could just see you..." We all sing- except Brian. I tap the dashboard, Cole taps the steering wheel while Julian and Randy pretends to play guitars. "Tonight", we finish- almost shouting and pretend to play our imaginary instruments. =•= Those are just moments of Ria and the boys hanging out. What kind of shenanigans could happen next? Ria Scott is a scholar in her newly transferred school. She may be a nerd, but her abilities to make immediate comebacks, to sass and to be sarcastic makes her have a strong character." Don't mess with the Nerd" and "I'd rather Sass than be as Arse" -Ria Scott. If you think that's all of it, nope. She is fiesty and friends with---BOYS! She prefers them than girl drama. Why? Because she's different. With these boys her brother, could she really avoid drama? [TW: This book contains sensitive topics that others may find uncomfortable to read | I also acknowledge the fact that this book is very "pick-me" but that's 14-year-old me for you :3]

"I see the world and it seems like I see it so differently than most other people. It makes me really angry most of the time. Especially since no one ever listens to me or what I've got to say. I try to express myself in so many different ways and no one sees it. When I sing a song people will only care about how the music sounds or how much I swore. If I paint, people will see the picture but not the meaning. It seems so obvious to me but everyone just seems to... close their eyes. Or at least shut off their brain. As if I see things they don't. But when they don't listen, how can I communicate that to them? It's so frustrating." Allie is a high school student and has big plans to make the world a better place. But her own head is pitting against her, throwing rocks in her path on a daily basis. Everything seems to be great for a while but what happens when her world suddenly comes crashing down around her? Can she ever recover? A coming-of-age story that deals with mental ilnesses, grief, first loves and family, briefly taps into the subject of religion and will likely enrapture you. Trigger warning: mental illnesses, self harm, death, dealing with grief, mentions of guns and gun control, mentions of cults, mentions of homophobia, dissociation. Names of bands, band members and song titles have been changed but at this point I want to credit mainly Palaye Royale, the band 'Homesick Soldiers' that is mentioned throughout is heavily based off them, but I'm sure if you're familiar with them you would have been able to tell that :)

CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy.
