High school only meant one thing for Kristina Washington:

Ignorance, ignorance, and more ignorance.

When she's accepted into a school where the ratio of white to colored is 3:1, she already knows what to expect. Comments about her hair, about her lips, and about her speech. But what she wasn't expecting to learn that hate comes in many shapes and forms. She starts to see that there's more to oppression than just the basic racism they taught in middle school.

It's because of this Kristina becomes more woke and unfortunately more hated.

Author's Note:
This book would highlight the many social/racial issues happening in America, as well as the black community. If you are not comfortable with the topic of these issues, and/or the truth in general, DO NOT read this book.
