I wrote this book to give readers a lighter, standalone read for them to enjoy while waiting for SURRENDER, the final Careless Whispers book, to come out.

Why you ask? Because SURRENDER is possibly my darkest book that I've written, to date. It had to be. There was so much to close on and so much that Ella has gone through and it was intense and gritty. So, I thought to give a little levity to the situation I would write BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, which follows Skye, Ella's friend and her wild ride with a sexy poker player.
