Yin and Yang. Light cannot exist without Darkness, and Darkness cannot exist without Light. However one such World defies these terms. This is the world that the Council Of Elementals resided. Aided those fated to be heroes by gifting them a power from birth. However this land is engulfed with shadows by a villainous foe, intent on ruining the peace and prosperity ruling over the land. The Elementals powers suddenly are not their own to give anymore, and sometimes it is gifted to evil. This cycle took root.
