Once upon a time in the world of the divergent trilogy (great set of books by Veronica Roth read them.) there was a young man by the name of Eric Carmichael who didn't belong. Born dauntless he knows no fear and he acts reckless and foolish. That is until he meets one girl named Christina. (( SPOILERS, ALL CHARACTERS EXCEPT ERIC BELONG TO VERONICA ROTH. I DO NOT OWN THE DIVERGENT TRILOGY))

She stared up at the white ceiling, imagining what the seconds, minutes and hours would sound like as they rushed by. Time was such a strange thing. One moment you can feel as if there's too much of it, and in the next moment there's not enough. Time probably passes silently for a reason. If it made a sound it would probably be unpleasant. A constant screaming reminder of the moments that were wasted, taken for granted, stolen away or lost. A raging celebration of the moments that were precious, intimate and full. It would probably be too loud for a person's ears to handle, and we would crumble under the pressure. ***Intended for adults only! I've pulled together things from both the book and movie, and put a lot of effort into referencing both to make the story flow. This is a backstory for Eric. I've taken bits and pieces from the Divergent series and also the movie. I also used the book about Four that recently came out. It takes you through his journey through initiation on in to leadership. He also develops a love interest that isn't in either the books or the movie. I wanted him to have a softer side that only she'll see.
