Several hundred years ago, a ruthless crusade of Templar knights drove the vampire race to the brink of extinction. Over the course of many decades the survivors forged a vast underground empire spanning the length of the known world. In the darkness, Kristof Eddic finds himself engulfed in madness as he descends deep into this twisted new society of vampire wickedness. Accompanied by a mysterious stranger, the foul poison in his veins begins to take hold as he is forced into one of the four ancient vampire houses. Inevitably, Kristof finds himself caught up in the cold war of vampire politics where a power vacuum has been created by the disappearance of the vampire empress. Old and new enemies are about, but only the ambitious will survive the great game. The question is, how far will Kristof go to survive? How far would you go?

58 parts Complete Mature
Thousands of centuries ago humans, vampires, and werewolves lived together in harmony, considering one equal to the other. Ruled by a council of three kings, with one from each fullblood race, peace endured for quite some time. All of it was destroyed when many years later the new vampire and werewolf kings both wanted to rule over the kingdom alone. A massive war broke out between the vampires and the werewolves and millions of lives were lost. In a last attempt to stop the war one hundred years later, the land was divided into three kingdoms, the vampires, humans and werewolves. The borders were shut, crossbreeding was forbidden since it created halfbloods and demons and each kingdom was led by the king of their respective race. In secret, however, it was decided that the human king would watch over them all to prevent another war from ever happening again. Since the human kingdom laid inbetween the other two, the humans invented technology to keep all the races at bay and trained the warriors of their army as skilled hunters. As time and generations went by, the kingdoms became more isolated and the common humans forgot that supernatural beings even existed. However, the war had never truly been resolved so the hatred that the vampires and werewolves had for each other endured. When a mysterious murder occurs, chaos breaks out within the kingdoms. A throne must be taken, blood must be shed, a choice must be made and all must be answered by a girl with purple eyes. Reborn: The Allies of Old (Book One) by LinnetMc
8 parts Complete Mature
Nineteen year old Anna Preston appears to lead a life typical for a young woman in modern-day America. But she has a secret. For the past three years she's been seeing shadowy figures mingling with the populace. Made of smoke and vapor with a vaguely human form, they are not overtly threatening, but in the recesses of her mind there are whispers of nightmares long buried and forgotten. Jared is of a race created solely for the purpose of protecting humankind from demons, and for the first two centuries of life he was fully devoted to the service. Until the very ones he protected repaid him by destroying everything he ever loved. For decades Jared's hatred of humans was a living thing, but time has a way of dulling strong emotion and centuries later he is mostly indifferent. But when he learns a vial of his blood is being used in depraved activities, a long forgotten past comes hurdling back. ** Humans, Vampires, Faerians, and Shifters once banded together to fight their common enemy, but it has been many centuries since the demons presented a real threat to the world- and in these modern times most are oblivious to the danger lurking just beyond their perception and mankind has reduced both allies and enemies to fairy tales and boogie men. Signs are beginning to appear that allude to this threat rising in power once more, but with the alliances largely broken and those still continuing the fight few and far between, the human race is on the precipice of a grave danger that could threaten their very existence. And so it is of dire need for the allies to gather together once more. Ancient prophesies will soon begin to surface, one in particular that speaks of a unifying force initiated by the unlikeliest of beings...

Once-proud heiresses and daughters of dignitaries have abandoned their arrogance, now begging for the smallest chance of survival. In this broken world, where laws have crumbled and order is no more, strength alone is the key to staying alive. The powerful dominate all, setting the new rules and controlling precious resources. Desperation and fear twist human nature, grinding kindness and compassion into dust, leaving survival as the only creed. In this infernal wasteland, the fight to live is merciless and unending. "I'm not cold-blooded," the protagonist murmurs, gazing at the crimson sky with an unyielding determination to survive burning in their eyes. "I just want to live." As they push their limits to grow stronger, they seek a glimmer of hope in the darkness. But will they be able to hold onto their last shred of humanity, or will this ruthless world consume them completely? Blood and Grit : A Vampire LitRPG

3 parts Ongoing Mature

A grimdark Vampire LitRPG When the world "died", it wasn't with the trumpets of Apocalypse blaring, or the ground sundering to reveal the molten heart beneath. It was sudden. A spasm. A stroke. But endings do not exist, only new beginnings. And Earth did not end, it only changed, melded with a dying world into something different and infinitely more unforgiving. Mist now blankets the world. Within it, the dead walk and hunger. Outside it, obscene perversions of humanity stalk the land or lie hidden in the shadowed crevices, ready to ambush. There's no chosen ones here. No cheat skills. No easy-mode. There's only the danger and those with the grit necessary to overcome it. For Jon, the hellscape that Earth has become marks a chance. A chance to be more than just the abandoned orphan, slowly rotting away in the slums, that he's been for the last 18 years. After all, what did he have to look forward to in the old Earth? A lifetime of poverty and scraping every cent he could, just so he could avoid becoming another burn-out rotting in a ditch? The world's gone to hell in a handbasket? So what. The name of the game hasn't changed. Survive today, so you can see tomorrow.
