The novel  Pick a Bone; Fire and Ice is in the genre of mystery and thriller using the basic idea of forensic anthropology and crime. Fire and Ice is the first series throughout the Pick a Bone saga. The series also contain dark comedic undertones to, in essence, lighten the gravity of the reader.

Dr Allison Hale is fascinated by bones and dead bodies, so the youngest anthropologist teams up with a young and extremely handsome FBI agent; Seth Argent to test out her knowledge. They are both crime fighting heroes, bringing justice to the world in their own special way. Until the day Seth receives a phone call from his associates in the FBI about a crime that occured right here in their beloved city; New Orleans. It soon becomes clear that the motive behind the crime makes everything so senile and twisted...
