Our Little Different Similarities

Tess wants to get away from it all. Away from all the masked people, all the white, sterilized rooms, all the faces filled with despair, all the pain. Tess was in a car accident three months ago, and ever since she has been in a coma. Shes been able to hear and see people, but they can't hear her. They can't hear her voice, trying desperately to talk to them, to be heard. Now, all that goes on in her bright room are her doctors coming back and forth poking and prodding her. Everyone has given up on Tess, saying that she will never wake up. One night a boy comes to visit her. Claiming he's in the wrong room, he leaves. The next night he returns, and the next night, and the night after that.
