He now has a mental age of six(idk, just child age), is unable to mature further and only remembers his family. He has forgotten all of his middle/high school friends. The incident goes unsolved and all everyone can do is let it go. His friends do try to rebuild their friendships with him, but of course, it can never be the same. If he had known about the incident, he would've confessed. Whenever he's alone, he cries.
