After Clary breaks up with her boyfriend, Jace, she begins seeing things around her house, along with voices telling her to do malice things. Her mother tells her she is just suffering from a hard breakup. Her best friend thinks her sight is developing and she's starting to connect with spirits. It doesn't get easier either, the Clave informs her family a group has been seen around town summoning ghosts and demons. The worst part. She knows the leader. They told her their plan but, no one believed her because, she was just "suffering from a hard breakup".
