A single cat in the perfect world that was her reality, Olivestem always had it easy from the start. The only daughter to the leader of ThunderClan, Clearstar, respected by her clanmates through her powerful attributes, and gaining the awed looks of the toms, never had she faced a problem she couldn't overcome.
That was, until a rogue came along.
Her life turned a new leaf over. He joined ThunderClan under the approval of Clearstar, and did fine in Clan life; slowly Olivestem's walls broke down, and the beating of her heart became erratic when he gazed at her with those oh so meaningful eyes.
It was nearly impossible not to drown in those depths and concentrate on anything else.
When StarClan came to her in a dream, Olivestem was baffled when they gave her an ominous caution.
"Consequences lie at every nook and cranny if you do not stop your current behavior. Beware, Olivestem, for the outsider may be your end."

Rising from the Ashes
The four Clans-GrassClan, OakClan, PineClan and WillowClan-have lived in relative balance since the Clans began. They kept separate, save for their Gathering every full moon. While they had their disagreements, they kept a relatively harmonious existence. They had always been four Clans and it was believed that they always would be. For as long as they kept the warrior code alive, the Clans would continue to thrive. That's when the troubles began. One long, hot, dry greenleaf, a fire swept through GrassClan. Some cats were lost but those that survived resumed life in their now scorched territory. They knew that life was going to be harder than ever, but they could not abandon the only home they had ever known. The next couple of seasons, GrassClan struggled to feed themselves with little prey to be found. Yet, they refused to give up. Newleaf found GrassClan weak and starving but with hope on their horizon. Their oldest queen had moved into the nursery. Then, disaster struck a second time. Greencough swept through the Clan, snuffing out the new lives before they had even begun. The dreaded sickness left its mark, stealing the future of the Clan and all hope with it. Life had taken its toll on GrassClan. All that remained were their young leader, their deputy, their elderly medicine cat, one warrior and three elders. They had no apprentices, no she-cats and no kits. The once vibrant Clan was on the brink of dying out. The four Clans would soon be no more. ThunderClan has lived moons in peace. The water is plentiful and the cats are strong. But, with the Dark Forest drawing closer and tragedies emerging, things are starting to go downhill. It all begins with Swiftkit. He is born as an innocent newcomer to the clan. He is strong and independent, but his morals quickly change when he is visited by the most hated cat in all of the Clans. ***DISCLAIMER*** The time gap between Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 is literally a YEAR, so, I must warn you that the cleanliness of Chapter 8 and onwards completely emulates the first seven chapters of this book. I certainly don't think that they are BAD, but I am definitely going to fix them up once I've got more time (just some little grammar tweaks, updating plot points, and fixing some dialogue). So, just keep that in mind when you read this. I hope you still enjoy!
