The kingdom of Erantille is riddled with units of a force known as the Marked Ones. Identified by one of three colored symbols on the body, a Marked One possesses power over the weather and the air, the sea and the land, or the inhabitants and land of Hell itself. 

As a tyrannical king came to rule, a mass execution was put in place- every Marked One and every ally to them must die. The few bearers of the Marks that survived holed away far from the rest of the kingdom, taking refuge underground. The survivors took count of who they had saved and made one sickening revelation: not a single Hellborn had survived.

One, however, was fated to be born.
