i'll put your feelings before mine. i'll let you sleep in when you've had a rough night. i'll make you breakfast and have a smile plastered on my face when you say you're not hungry and you leave for an emergency meeting for work on a sunday that nobody else knew about when i called that monday. i'll put my heart in your hands and trust you with it even though it's the biggest mistake i'll ever make because i'm blind. i'm blinded by the way you brush your thumb across my bottom lip, i'm blinded by the way you grip my thigh while you're driving, i'm blinded by my own stupidity and i'll always know that. i'm blind but i will always put you before me.

He always assumes I want money. That money can replace my desire for a mother, for a female figure who will guide me through the darkness. All he can provide is money.
