24 year old Ava Castellano is an impulsive, disorganized, temperamental journalist whose smart-mouth is incorrigible and who is most times- if not always, late. Her world, however, takes a huge dive when she has to interview her childhood nemesis, Caleb A. Wyatt, an artist whose art pieces have been gaining major recognition. Caleb A. Wyatt is the successful 26 year old architectural and engineering co-manager of Wyatt's Inc and also an artist whose creations are nothing less than spectacular. Unlike Ava, he has a fetish for perfection- or is it a phobia of imperfection? Hmm. Anarchy is immediately rekindled between the two when they reunite. Caleb is going half mad with this walking embodiment of chaos and wits, and Ava is repulsed by Caleb's need for perfection & control. But there's more to each than they both thought they knew or let on; and individually they try to disarm the other. It's all a game. Until it's not. Will this end in disaster or will it be beautiful chaos?

The Aid

*MAJOR EDITS/REWRITE IN PROGRESS* Evie has dealt with her fair share of traumatic events, and she just wants to focus on college and her beloved paintbrushes and bass guitar. Harry is just beginning to deal with the most traumatic events of his life: cancer and the American healthcare system, respectively. The two fellow students meet on a bus when Harry notices a stranger following her, and he walks her home to make sure she's safe. Months later, when she learns about his diagnosis, Evie returns the favor in the only way that makes sense: by marrying him. It's meant to be just on paper. She's merely helping him out financially through her mom's health insurance plan. Neither of them expects this simple favor to come with growing worry that turns into a reluctant friendship, which then spirals completely out of control before either can stop it. But it does, and now they're dealing with it in their own unique ways: Evie ignores it, and Harry ignores her ignoring it. // TW: cancer, strong language, alcohol/underage drinking, mentions of substance abuse, mentions of physical abuse, sexual content
