"B-ben...."

"Y-yes Jeff." I cradled his head in one of my hands and the other was placed on his deep stab wound. Tears fell from my eyes onto his pale face. He chuckled deeply as blood fell from his mouth.

"Ben I....I need to tell you s....something...." He slowly reached up and placed his cold hand on my cheek. My hand gripped his wrist not letting go.

"What is it Jeff?" More tears fell from my face. I starred into his almost lifeless black eyes.

"I love you." His hand dropped onto the floor. I starred at his hand. Then back up at his face. His lifeless eyes starred up at the ceiling. 

"N-no please Jeff don't go! Please!" I sobbed into his chest. "This can't be happening!" I sobbed. I lifted my head off his chest and kissed his ice cold lips.

He moved so fast and swift that he managed to open a side window before his parents could stop him. “Please don’t cry, princess! I will come back and find you!” His parents tried again to remove him from the window, but he almost hugged the edges for dear life just so they couldn’t. “YOU HAVE TO PROMISE YOU WILL WAIT FOR ME, RILEY!” “I promise!” A sob escaped from the back of my throat, so I gulped the huge lump that formed in it, and shouted with all the energy left in me, “I WILL WAIT FOR YOU! KELLAN, I PROMISE!” With that, we both stopped. I stopped running; he stopped struggling. And, before his parents could completely close the car window, he threw something at me that almost made me laugh. A candy.

I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" He questions raising an eyebrow at me. "You haven't hurt me." "Yet." He mutters, but I roll my eyes.
