Fate is fickle and not one of us can control it. If you believe you can, your illusions will soon be shattered.

Ginamarie Swan has no illusions about her fate, not anymore. She was in a car accident when she was eight, her little brother died and Gina was left mute. After the accident her mother walked out on her father, unable to handle the death of her son and the fact her daughter was irreparably damaged by an accident she caused.

Now seventeen, Gina is learning to love herself again despite her disability and memories of the car wreck with the help of a boy.

They both have secrets that cannot remain hidden. When they come to light will it tear them apart or bring them closer? Will Ginamarie give into the silence or find the voice inside her?
