Jennifer Wood has a secret past that nobody knows about. One so secret, that not even she knows about it herself. Searching for the life she once lived she stumbles upon a man named Captain Jack Harkness and his team of new recruits from Torchwood Cardiff. Together, they bring out a new side of her that changes her life forever when she runs across an old fog watch.

"She helped me. Rose. The blonde girl...I saw her. In my head. With the Doctor and you. And when I opened my eyes again. The daleks were gone and I was alone. The ship was completely empty and I couldn't do anything but close my eyes. Rose had saved me and I was going to die anyways. All I could do was wish I was home, and when I opened my eyes I was standing in front of my house.... 3 years after I disappeared." "You...time traveled?" Jack asked confused. "That's not all Jack." I looked at Jack's waist and quickly grabbed his gun putting it to MY head and fired it. "YAZ DON'T!" A few moments passed and I opened my eyes gasping for air looking-up at Jack. "Jack. I need to find the doctor. I need him to fix me." -- "Sometimes to save all, you have to sacrifice some." -- "You aren't just Yazmin Tyler, you need to get that through your head. You can't keep making these stupid decisions with the power you hold. You hold more than you think. The TARDIS didn't just CHOOSE you!" I was startled by Rose's loosing her temper. "The TARDIS gave you part of her, you are Time and Space itself...just like her. You need to remember Yazmin." Before she or I could say anything else, like a poof of smoke she just disappeared. [Torchwood fanfic] Fear was supposed to be behind The Outcast after the Timelords abandoned her in the 21st century. Left alone the half Gallifreyan tried living on her own, and she did for some time, until Torchwood found her. That's when project T.O.M. began and The Outcast became known as subject 20-15-13. After that everything went worse, the experiments, torture, insults, and then the Doomsday Invasion. That's where Outcast's story picked up again for the better, surprisingly, and with her unlikely friend they manage to escape with the chaos of Cybermen and Daleks around them. Will it grow worse for The Outcast once more when Torchwood Three finds her or will her distrust of Torchwood be changed? Her friend loved her new home, but Outcast wasn't one to trust others easily. In fact she just wants to leave the past in the past to find a better future away from those she hates, but of course when aliens attack it won't be easy to just leave Shylah behind to face the attack with the Torchwood members. With that burdening her escape plans she decides to end the fight quickly... That is easier thought than done though...
