Tom's parents promised him that going into space to explore a new world far from our own solar system would be a great adventure.
Of course, they didn't mention that for most of the trip he would be frozen and sleeping in a metal tube. And when he was allowed out, it would only be to do chores and fix broken machinery. And that there would be no pizza, and no room to really throw a baseball.
But Tom has just woken up, and something is wrong. The ship is dirty. It smells like goats. And he's all alone.
At least he thinks he is...

I lost myself somewhere between space and time. I repeated my name over and over, refusing to leave myself behind. My brother the 10 year old genius
We're about 4 years apart, he's only 10 years old and still the smartest person I know. I'm 14 years old, and starting my first year of high school. And may I just say, what a great way to start the year off by first having all the parents be abducted by aliens. Compared to the rest of our family it makes me feel stupid, but then compare me to our parents and my IQ goes from stupid to at least average. Our mom is pretty smart, my dad isn't that smart, and sounds like he really only cares about ducks. People make fun of him for being so smart, but I love him, most days anyways. He's my best friend and he says I'm the coolest big sister he's ever had, to be clear I'm the only sister he's ever had. He has one of those space HQs one of those bigger on the inside tiny on the outside, and invents all and everything. Including our dog, I'm allergic to anything that sheds, but have always wanted a pet, so he made me one himself. I just wish he'd ask me first before he tests his experiments on me. The being wasn't like other's any of them had seen. They wanted to know how it was possible in the world that was nothing but desert, and infection. 0-Sa was also alone, which was unusual for the species. The Irinaut became valuable quite quickly, having found no spore infection visibly on him.
