A War Between the Dark and the Light is set to erupt.
The Academy was founded by several elementals. They guarded the Light fiercely, and sought to bring fire on all of the Dark. Emilie was a child with a mysterious heritage and a dark past. She was the key, with the power to either destroy or preserve all she loved and hated.
Emilie, terrified of her destructive powers fled the Light and ended up in the clutches of the Dark. The Academy hunts for her too, seeking to persuade or destroy her to preserve peace. Stranded in the middle, she finds herself at the center of a ruthless war, a battle to destroy Zacarias from within. Traitors and spies lurk at every turn, each more desperate than the next to use Emilie's newfound powers for their own dark purposes.
