They held the key to the universe.. A dark sea stretching far out mixing with a swirl of the light sky giving an aura so real you could almost feel a salt touched breeze hit you... Dark almost black stripes zigzagging in a gentle way across all covered with a molten gloss coming together with soft dots specks of white made her eyes the universe. And they pulled me in as if gravity had been lifted.. Rendering me weightless to float off gently into the galaxies and the unknown..... I never had such strong feelings for a girl. My whole life chasing boys since I was a little girl and had my first silly kiss in grade 6. But now... Now all i had in my mind was that girl that I first glanced up and down in that coffee shop.

Fearless

She had strewn her backpack to the side before she sat down outside the coffee shop. Her black oversized hoodie drowned her petite frame. The hood was pulled up over her auburn hair. As she sat on the concrete of the flower bed, her hair laid in her lap in a pool of red, brown, and all sorts of light refracting colors. Her sharp cheekbones and dark, heavy makeup contrasted her pale skin. On her face were angry, raised and inflamed pink scars that raked down from above her left eye, diagonally down to above her heart. Right where her heart was, were cross-hatched slashes that had healed over and become even more angry from the ones on her face; it was as if someone had tried to rip out her heart. And that person was me.
