She heard screaming coming from the next apartment over. She knew that it was Vanya, off on some kind of rant. A piece of glass smashed, a door slammed, and a vile stream of curses came from inside. Finally, Carmen looked up. Standing in front of her was a tall girl, toothpick thin, with long, porcelain doll coiled hair. a red line scraped across her cheek. She held the door open behind her with a single hand. In her other hand dangled a set of keys. She slammed the door behind her and tossed the keys into Carmen's lap. "Keep 'em." she said "I don't need 'em.". The girl tugged up the collar on her over-sized letterman jacket and walked down the hall. Her feet stomped on each step. Carmen gripped the keys in her hand so tight that she later had to wash the blood from her palm. Her Russian accent, her goddamn Russian accent, it made everything she said nearly impossible to understand. And the constant filtering in and out of English, and the way her mother insisted on using her full name, "Nadyenka, Nadyenka," , she hated her full name. "Nadia!" she yelled, knocking the wine glass out of her mom's hand, smashing it to the floor. Her mother cursed, some in English, some in Russian, then bent down to pick up the pieces of broken glass. Nadia turned on her heels and grabbed the house keys off the counter. "Eto verno, suka, beg.". She couldn't take any more of it. "Speak English!" she screamed back and ran out the door. She didn't even get the chance to close the door before she saw Carmen, that Carmen, sitting against her door across the hall. Nadia closed the door. She said some things she wouldn't remember, and stalked off down the hall. That was the last time she'd be home in four years.

Despite it being well past sunrise, the house was dark. I had woken up with a start, hearing the sound of a car below but now as I lay awake, I was in even more of a panic. "Don't make a sound." She whispered as she clasped a hand over my mouth, "The house is surrounded. They're going to kill us. They're going to kill the countries." ... It is gradually nearing to two decades since Taishya Rovanoff ran away with her twins and despite the media taking the world by storm, great tensions are underlying once-happy friendships with the nations. When a young and perhaps too-curious state comes across some files, she decides it is her own personal mission to solve the missing-twin mystery. This, however, proves more challenging than not when old scars are reopened leading to a series of events which brings the world to its knees. With forgotten prophecies and mysterious attacks threatening the lives of once-strong countries, the world is inevitably falling apart. So how is it, with all the chaos going on, a missing lady, a set of twins, a naïve child, a sickly teenager, a frightened mother, a celestial body and a queen all bring about the darkest hour the personified nations have ever faced? How is it that the threads of the earth are slowly undoing to bring about the start of the end of the world? ... DISCLAIMER: The story, all names, characters, and incidents portrayed in this production are fictitious. No identification with actual persons, places, buildings, and products is intended or should be inferred. The only things that I own are the plot, Taishya and any other OC's I might decide to include. If I did own Hetalia, I wouldn't be writing this...actually, I reckon I would be on an island, basking in the sun and drinking a pineapple cocktail whilst my servants brought slices of nectarines. Hetalia and it's characters belong to their rightful genius owner, Hidekaz Himaruya...(seriously, that man is a god!).
