Lucy Smith, better known as ‘Lu’, is actually Lupita  Shanon, a descendent of the ancient royal family of the shapeshifters. In the points of view of both Lupita and Cocidius, the excessumer in chief of Lupita’s operation and who later uncovers the fact that he a Lupita are partners and are bound by an ancient, very powerful force.
