The Bolt was your average superhero; delicately balancing high school by day and fighting evil villains by night. The only unknown variable in this game was a little miss Vixen. Was she friend or foe? Will she end the world as we know it or will she fight to save it? In a world full of powered people there was no sitting on your hands and letting the adults figure it out. Meta's got to do their part and I'm just doing mine.

But after a faulty save that leaves Captain Impossible dead, Oliver is left to be his city's savior in spandex. And following in the footsteps of Washington DC's favorite super isn't as easy as you'd think, especially when the culprit behind his death is closer than he thought. With Oliver starting his junior year in high school, things become more complicated. Trying to balance saving the world and school can be hard enough, but throw in his overprotective mother and a villain by the name of Delinquent who Oliver can't shake, being a hero by day is going to be impossible. And maybe Delinquent and Oliver have more in common than they thought. *companion novel to Damsel in Distress series*

Masks are Greater than Sunglasses [ COMPLETE ]
COMPLETE ***** "That mask covers like 2% of your face a good pair of sunglasses would be more effective." "Hey, in every Superhero movie when they are in disguise that's what they wear and no one recognizes them." ***** Rya Morgan hates Superheroes. Well, maybe not hates. But in a world where everyone adores the enhanced, Rya's avid distrust makes her an outsider in a sea of mega fans. So when she's thrust from her relatively normal life into a classically cliched Superhero story, Rya fights her hardest to get out. Too bad her best friend Trey Roberts also happens to be the newest member of the League of Heroes. He might be new to the whole Superhero thing, but he's not going to let Rya get hurt on his watch. Unfortunately, that leaves just one option, for Trey's mysterious partner LP to intervene. For a Hero, he sure does have an off-the-books way of working that causes he and Rya to clash instantly. The more ingrained into her life the Supers become the more desperate Rya is to figure out who's targeting her, and more importantly, who LP is beneath the mask. Rya is willing to do anything for the truth. Anything, that is, except reliving the memories she's tried so hard to erase. ***** | First Place | The Pizza Awards ***** Warnings : Mild language, Mentions of depression and suicide

[COMPLETED] ••Reached #1 in adventure on 04/07/2019•• ••Reached #2 in hero on 05/16/2019•• ••Reached #3 in fiction on 05/20/2019•• Arlo Sanders wakes up one morning to discover that he wet the bed. I know what you're thinking and no, he didn't pee himself. He had developed super powers. At first, he was in denial, but inevitably came to the understanding that he is now a Super, and if he has powers, he might as well use them for something other than picking up hot chicks. Now, not only does he have to deal with school, his almost non existent social life and his aggravating younger brother, but he also has to fight super villains and learn to control his new found powers to avoid blowing his cover to the world...and it is a lot harder than he anticipated. Prepare for a roller coaster ride of lame one liners and painfully awkward adolescent behaviour, along with bromances and romances, breakups and make ups, and even some cliché superhero behaviour, villains who hold a grudge, and really dorky super suits. Oh... and angry, rampaging squirrels.

    Damsel[ed]: No Rescue Required
***FINISHED! AND FULLY UPLOADED*** "Your friend was right," the villain says, tilting her chin towards the moon. My mouth's on autopilot now as I mentally uncurl from the fetal position. "Uh, first, why do you know my friends? Second, about what?" Her eyes light up like jack-o'-lanterns. "You're adorable when you're scared out of your mind." ***Now a Wattpad featured story*** Having superpowers is awesome, unless you're Angelos Fibbs. When a kidnap attempt leaves him with incredible superpowers and a price on his head, this one-liner-loving dork must choose: hurt or be hurt. Supervillain or damsel in distress. He's a lover, not a telekinetic black-leather-wearing killer, and he wants to keep it that way. The fates of his best friends hang in the balance, and if he can't face his biggest fears, he'll become a pawn to a powerful underground whose dark intentions could destroy his city, and possibly, the world. Life just got messy for the clean-freak super. WARNING: Mild swearing, and a 'spit' load of dorky alternatives. Nerdy humor, cliffhangers, plot twists, fights, and a love triangle so complex it's more or less a love blob. May cause spontaneous shipping. Also includes enough Star Wars references to make George Lucas cringe. Read at your own risk. COMPLETE *** Highest ranking #1 in Adventure on July 8, 2016

    Heroes at Heart
"I've tried telling them I'm only fifteen. That no sane government would force a boy my age to fight crime. 'But Max, you're a superhero! Isn't this what you want?' Actually, no. I just kind of want to get through high school. Then we'll talk about this 'superhero' business." Max Owens is your average high school sophomore. Well, he tries to be, at least. At fifteen, he's got more important things to do than fight the infamous Vinicus Cauldwell. With his single mother having recently lost her job, Max is determined to help his family get back up on its feet. The publicity and pressure that comes with being a superhero would be too much to handle right now. But it's hard to fly under the radar, when you can literally fly. Meanwhile, Vinicus Cauldwell enjoys the power he has as Murkbourne's most feared super-villain. For once, he can sit back and relax without being pestered by the police. That is, until Max arrives. Vinicus isn't happy about having to fight a child, but he can't let Max find out. After all, super-villains can't be "good people"... Can they? We can't all be born heroes. But most of us are Heroes at Heart. (Based on a writing prompt / story request by tumblr user "fallingivy")

What if I can't save the world?
STATUS: COMPLETED. Their worlds have been shattered by evils they weren't able to stop. Their powers, a reminder to all that they have lost. But when the fate of the world hangs in the balance once again these four heroines receive a second chance to become the heroes that they were destined to be all along. Can they come together in time to stop a futuristic threat or will the villain prove to be too powerful all over again? EXCERPT --------------------------------------------------------------- "You think she'll take the bait?" I asked "I have no idea," she admitted. Kadima opened up the portal and we stepped through. It was the only place she could be sure would have no civilians around. The office was stripped and abandoned. It was an old, basic, nondescript building that was set for demolition. It was dark and dusty. "How long until you think they come, if they come." "I don't think it will be long before they realise. I'm sure she must have some way of knowing when the timeline changes." "Suppose the timeline hasn't changed and this was apart of the plan all along," a voice said in the darkness. "What if something as small as this doesn't change the outcome of this timeline," Mistress Mind snickered as she emerged from behind the wall. Her visor glowed in the darkness. She leaned against the wall. "Did you think something this small would be able to stop us." "We had hoped," I fired up my pendent.

Without A Trace (Open Novella Contest) [Completed]
Shortlisted for the Open Novella Contest 2019 • Being a Supervillain is tough. Between managing a secret lair and making sure your mom doesn't stop loving you because you keep telling everyone she's dead, it's a really hard business to be good at? Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive? And then, you realise your best friend is plotting go take over your spot as the greatest villain there ever was? Okay, maybe not the greatest, but you do come pretty close to it! To top it off, there's that one Superhero who's just so completely gorgeous, you couldn't imagine any harm coming to them? Because they're just that precious? I guess that makes me a Supervillain with minor time travel superpowers and a huge crush on a not so powerful Superhero? And all you have to do is protect yourself and everyone you love from your ex best friend/sidekick --because let's face it that's the highest level of praise for a wretched traitor here--and you also have to get out of Super Holding somehow? What could go wrong? Right?
