I wrote this two years ago, when I had been bored out of my brains staring at the clock on my wall. I had ended up spending quite a while focusing on it's movement and imagining certain scenarios happen in just seconds. My inspiration for this poem came from this scene of boredom. So, thank you Mr. Clock!
