I promised I would forget him, that I wouldn't jeopardise my life, yet how can you not share my story with anyone? I could have told the government about him. I could have revealed him to the world. But that would mean his death, and I had already faced too much of that. So hear I am now, telling a screen that's probably being monetized by the government anyway, leaving his legacy behind, for he will never return.

Prologue: Earth has found out they're not alone in the universe. An alien species have contacted Earth, giving them a chance to be protected by the aliens out there that threatens the universe. They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. In order to win the protection, Earth will have to send a tribute to the Games. They know little to nothing about the Games or these alien species.
