One heartbeat and the Last.
One minute alive and the next you're gone, you barely even notice it... Well, you barely USED TO notice it. Now with the organization and their STIL technology everyone gets a second chance at life, if you could even call it that. They "rescue" us by extracting us through time between one heartbeat and our last and when our "services" are no longer needed, we our returned to our moment of death. Sounds cool, till it happens to you but soon you realize it for the monster it is and then your heart beats again, one last time.

EXTRACT FROM BOOK: I don't know how to live anymore. With approximately 2,500 people left in America and 15,000 left in the world, it isn't often you come across someone just passing by, there are three main groups that stick together The Beati, who are the apocalyptic version of a hippy, The Operarios Group (just normal people trying to survive), and then of course The Reluquos the power hungry killers who execute anyone who try's to get in their way or disagrees with them. Oh and then there are just the Loners like me hoping to find somewhere they can fit in and belong. I don't know what made me go this route but for some reason I did and now I'm standing face to face with a Reluquos Army Leader. His strong arm grips onto my Shoulder stopping me from moving, He regards me coolly studying my face for signs of fear, which I'm trying my damned hardest to suppress. Finally he talks....Concluída
