After joining the U.S. Marines,  getting shot three times, and beat up in the Indian jungle, doesn't a girl deserve some peace? Ex-Marine Lyra Collins comes back from a  two-year tour in India a war hero with a purple heart, and some battle scars. So when she comes home to L.A. to find that her forgetful mother unsurprisingly didn't remember to pick her up from the airport, trekking to the nearest payphone isn't exactly making her a happy camper. Running into a guy she thinks is crazy just fuels the fire. He claims to be a superstar, and instantly falls for her when she doesn't bow to him.

      Thinking he's crazy and wants to help him, she agrees to go to his mansion. But what happens when he is who he said he is, a newly famous A-list actor  Ashton Banks who became well-known while she was overseas? Far more limelight than a recovering war hero needs. Can Ashton convince the jaded ex-soldier he's worth the risk? Or will an assassin chasing them both prove too much for Lyra and Ashton's relationship?
