When a Leaf Falls

Not many people have the courage to run away.... from their family's, memory's, home's and friend's. Thirteen year old Mayfield Price, better known as May, has no idea what she will do next when she runs away from her mom and her little sister, Rose. Ashe, North Carolina is as close to a home as May's ever gotten. May's family is small, but very hard to feed, as her family is poor and desperate for a meal every day. May has a job of sewing ripped clothes, she does this so her family can get fed. May has been working hard for three years and is getting tired and weak, the only answer is to run away from her troubles and past. Follow May along on her adventures to find a new life and better yet.... a new home to belong in.
